With just under two million visitors every year, Thorpe Park is one of the biggest attractions in the UK. While the rides get a lot of attention, many rely on the amusement park’s refreshment stands and buildings to enhance their day out.

One of the biggest challenges for refreshment areas is how to keep customers happy while they wait, and when the weather is poor, this is even more challenging.

In March 2016, we were approached by the facilities leader at Thorpe Park. They required a wall mounted canopy to be installed at one of their food and drink areas. With the canopy in place, customers could wait and enjoy their purchases comfortably.

After looking at the site, we installed a 6.3 x 2 metre Coniston Wall Mounted Canopy and the client chose Fawn Brown colouring to match the surrounding area.

At Thorpe Park, not only does the canopy provide customers with shelter during extremely hot or adverse weather, it also draws the public’s attention towards the refreshment area.

The canopy is made from aluminium and does not use any uPVC in the structure. This gives the structure strength which is why we offer a 10-year guarantee and state that the life expectancy of the structure is 25-years.
