Summer’s finally here!

Summer finally seems to be here, for a few days anyway! I hope everyone is enjoying the good weather and also staying safe in the sun. It’s really important to follow sun safety advice from health professionals to ensure you and those in your care don’t get burnt or suffer from too much sun exposure.

I know the Australians have a good phrase to help you remember to stay safe: “Slip, slop, slap”! Slip on a cover up shirt, slop on some sunscreen and slap on a hat! It’s also important to seek shade, especially between 11am and 3pm when the sun is the most powerful. A canopy or shade sail is a perfect way to provide shade at your setting; all of our canopies offer up to 99% UV protection ensuring that those underneath can play safely in the sun without the worry of burning and so they are ideal for play areas, schools and outdoor seating areas. The dangers of too much sun are very real so please make sure that you are properly protected when enjoying the sun whether it’s on your lunch break, out in the garden or on holiday.

Macmillan offers advice, financial help and medical care to those suffering and affected by cancer.
