Stepping Up the Coniston with a Bigger Span

The Coniston Wall Mounted Canopy has been our most popular commercial canopy since Able Canopies began 20 years ago. The product has gone from strength to strength and it’s no wonder. With its fully aluminium frame which is naturally rust resistant, the vandal and shatter resistant polycarbonate roof panels that have a co-extruded UV layer, providing UV protection to the panels and the persons underneath, and its versatility to fit any area, even awkward alcoves that may be seen as hard to cover, its perfect for every commercial setting. Plus, did I mention the 10-year guarantee?
However, even with those fantastic features, plus more I’ve not yet mentioned, we found that our customers loved the Coniston so much, there was a need for more of it. Although the Coniston can span up to 6 metres with an unlimited length, we found that bigger spans were required. This is because it’s perfect for covering large areas such as outdoor dining areas, particularly within schools.
We therefore created the Stepped Coniston Canopy. The name comes from where we have created a design using two Coniston canopies, and stepped one on top of the other to create a much larger structure that still features the unlimited length, yet has a whooping span of up to 11.5 metres!
To add to it’s versatility, The Stepped Coniston can be installed as either a freestanding canopy or a wall mounted canopy to suit your requirements. This means we can install it anywhere within your grounds, providing it’s a suitable installation area.
Here’s some examples where we have installed the Stepped Coniston Canopy:
Parkgate Primary School, Cheshire
Parkgate Primary School in Cheshire, required a replacement for their old tensile canopy to provide shade and shelter outside one of their classrooms to create a free-flow environment from the indoors to the outdoors for lessons and playtimes.
