Primary School Christmas Fayre Stall Ideas
Your Primary School Christmas Fayre is one of the best activities of the year for raising funds for your school. Whether you’re raising funds for school equipment, a canopy, or a wildlife area, the more you have for parents and children to engage with, the more funds you will raise. You also want to create a memorable event. Here are some great ideas for stalls:
- Santa’s Grotto
It can be really easy to make a great Santa’s grotto for your school Christmas fayre. You can charge tickets, which can cover the price of a gift. Books make a great gift option, especially if you can get them for £1 each. You can create a grotto quite cheaply by borrowing Christmas trees or lights, wrapping large cardboard boxes with Christmas wrapping paper, and using throws and cushions over a large chair for Santa to sit in.
- Animal encounter
There are lots of licensed businesses that can be hired to bring some animals to the event for children and parents to meet and learn all about them. They could give donations or pay for a ticket to handle the animals.
- Craft Stalls
There will likely be plenty of local businesses that offer craft products that would like to hire a table at your school’s Christmas Fayres to sell their products. The stall holders could offer a gift-wrapping service where children can purchase gifts for their families and have them wrapped. The proceeds from the stall hire can then go towards the PTA funds.
- Food Stalls
Food stalls are always popular, especially if you hold the Christmas Fayre over tea time. You could offer small teas or something simple like hotdogs or jacket potatoes. Or you could sell coffee, tea, mince pies, and cookies if the Christmas Fayre is held straight after school.
- Raffle
A raffle is a great way to raise funds for the Christmas Fayre. You can sell tickets before the event. Ask parents to sell tickets to friends, grandparents, and neighbours to raise as many funds as possible. You can get some great gifts by approaching local businesses and by holding donation days at school. For example, you can ask children to donate sweets in exchange for a non-school uniform day.
- Conclusion
Your primary school’s Christmas Faye is one of the most important events of the year to raise funds for your school. Here are some great ideas for stalls. What do you have planned for your Christmas fayre this year?
