Our Very First Solar Canopy!

I am excited to announce that last week we installed our very first solar canopy! This canopy was installed at Prior Weston Primary School in Islington, London and will provide the school with renewable energy that will save them money on their electricity bills and may also earn them added income.

Prior Weston Primary School had a Kensington Dual Pitch Free Standing Canopy installed with the Ascot Solar Upgrade. The Ascot Solar Upgrade replaces the polycarbonate or glass panels that would usually be used in our canopies with Photovoltaic (PV) glass panels that generates free electricity from soaking up the sun’s energy and turning it into renewable energy.

The Ascot Solar Upgrade completely transforms a canopy, enabling schools and other organisations to become more environmentally friendly whilst saving money and also keeping children and adults sheltered from the rain!

The Glass PV panels used are transparent and have an attractive orange tinge to them so you can tell the difference between the polycarbonate/glass panels and the solar panels.
