Our Longest Survey to Completion Project

Whilst the process of buying a canopy is straightforward, it can take time. This can be due to factors such as needing approval from governors, applying for grants, raising funds for the canopy, and in some cases, applying for planning permission.

So, we’re therefore no stranger to projects taking a while to complete due to outside factors however, we completed a project at a school in 2022 that we originally surveyed in 2005. That’s a total of 17 years, proving that good things really do come to those who wait.

When we carried out a full site survey at Limpsfield Grange School in 2005, we quoted to cover a number of areas within their playground in Oxted, Surrey. They went on to order a 3.5m x 1.17m Coniston Wall Mounted Canopy for one of the areas which was installed in April 2008. You can click here to view their very first ‘Able’ canopy.

They then got back in touch with us in 2020, referring the original quotation, asking us to access the area as they were ready to order the canopy. We installed a 11m x 4m Coniston Wall Mounted Canopy in April 2022 which you can view here: Coniston Wall Mounted Canopy in Surrey

After they placed the order for the above canopy, they ordered another, this time an 8m x 4m Coniston Wall Mounted Canopy, and stated that they were “Very happy with service & install”.

The Coniston Wall Mounted canopy was our most popular canopy when Able Canopies began in 2005. This year we are celebrating our 20^th anniversary and even to this day, the Coniston remains our number one best selling commercial canopy.
