An Inspiration and a Credit to Able Canopies Ltd.

Three lovely ladies from Able Canopies have returned to work today after completing the extremely challenging and excruciating London Moonwalk.

For those that don’t know already, the London Moonwalk is a charity event organised by Walk the Walk; it is an event that raises money for research into breast cancer, awareness of breast cancer and works at improving the lives of those who are currently battling breast cancer.

The London Moonwalk covers the distance of 26.2 miles through the streets of London (the same distance as the London Marathon), yet it starts at midnight so those taking part endure the very long walk when all their bodies want to do is sleep. You can view the route here which starts and ends at Clapham Common.

Tracy Meakins (Managing Director), Dawn Jameson (Finance Manager) and Jade Dixon (Credit Controller) spent many of their evenings and weekends for many months training for their walk which they completed in the early hours of yesterday morning. There’s some very sore feet here in the Able Canopies Head Office today I can tell you!

This was Tracy’s 4th Moonwalk, Dawn’s 3rd and Jade’s 1st. Tracy is already raring to sign up for next year and I’m sure the others will be too once they start to feel human again!
