Kate’s Favourite Installations of All Time

In continuation of celebrating our 20^th anniversary this year, Kate Quince, our Pricing Assistant who has been with the company for 16 years discusses her favourite commercial canopy installation of all time. While you may not have dealt with Kate directly, she works hard behind the scenes generating quotes and estimates for our customers to ensure they are provided with the best possible prices.

When I asked Kate what her favourite installation was, there was no hesitating, she knew exactly what one she’d choose.

Barking Abbey School, London

You’d have to be ‘barking’ mad not to love this project. In the summer of 2022, we supplied and installed two large Tarnhow Dome Freestanding Timber Canopies for the school in Barking, London for our clients; London Borough of Barking and Dagenham Council.

The two canopies cover a total of 448 square meters combined over the school’s two sites, this ensures that a large number of children can dine outside all year round whilst keeping protected from the weather. Theses canopies extended the schools dining capacity extensively, freeing up space in their indoor dining room, and providing students with more space to enjoy their lunches.

Not only did we supply and install the canopies, but we also completed the groundworks for the areas underneath, providing the whole canopy package, leaving the council with only one contractor to liaise with, making the project much less complicated for them.
