Installed & Thriving: A Look Back at Levenshulme’s Outdoor Dining Canopy

In October last year (2024), we supplied and installed a Welford Dome Freestanding Canopy for Levenshulme High School in Manchester. We were extremely pleased to return to the site 6 months later in April 2025 to discuss a new project. Not only did we have exciting opportunities to discuss, but we were able to see their canopy 6 months after the installation date to see it in use and hear what a difference it has made.

The purpose of the canopy was to provide an all-weather outdoor dining area to complement their indoor dining room and provide more dining space, preventing overcrowding indoors. The all-weather outdoor dining canopy, which they have appropriately named the ‘Canopy and Plaza,’ is doing exactly that; it features lots of picnic benches underneath, which enables many children to enjoy their lunch outside at the same time.

It’s so nice to be able to go back to the site to see our canopies in action and see how well used they are. Knowing that we are making such a difference to both the staff and pupils’ school life provides great satisfaction to our team. It’s also really nice to hear feedback, and on this occasion, we were told how they were extremely pleased with the canopy installation and the whole process from Able Canopies.
