Easter Fundraising Ideas
Easter’s rolled around faster than ever this year, and with it comes the perfect opportunity to boost your school’s funds through some festive, Easter-themed events. Fundraisers are a fantastic way to enrich students’ lives, whether it’s through new sports equipment, tech upgrades, or even a brand-new school canopy to enjoy year-round.
Easter activities offer lots of fun for everyone, and the arrival of Easter signals the much-anticipated shift into spring and the approach of summer. So, why not seize the chance to get outside and enjoy some festive fun?
Here are a few egg-citing fundraising ideas for your school or nursery:
Easter Egg Hunt
Host an egg hunt in the school playground or the school hall if the weather’s not cooperating. Charge a small participation fee and offer prizes for finding the most eggs or the special “golden egg.” Prizes could range from cuddly bunny toys to chocolate treats.
Easter Disco
You could organise an Easter-themed disco and advertise that there will be a visit from a special guest….. the Easter Bunny! There could be an offer for photo ops with the bunny for a fee, including a small gift like a chocolate egg or bunny plush. You could always consider adding a costume contest with prizes for the best dressed for some extra Easter fun.
Easter Fete
Think of it as a springtime fair with stalls like an egg hunt, Easter bunny photos, an Easter raffle, egg painting and you could make it into a competition where the winner of the best decorated egg gets a prize, a “find the golden egg” game, egg and spoon races, guessing the number of mini eggs in a jar, and more.
Easter Show
Put on an Easter play, you could take the theme from an Easter inspired book about Easter bunnies or maybe get the children to create a story of their own and turn it into a play.
We hope these ideas spark some inspiration! If you’ve hosted an Easter event or have more ideas, we’d love to hear about it. Share your stories and successes with us!
Easter Fundraising Success Story
Bramford Pre-School Playgroup in Ipswich, Suffolk, shared how their Easter event helped them fund a Coniston Wall Mounted Canopy from Able Canopies in February 2012.
“We organized an Easter social with a raffle, refreshments, and a visit from the Easter Bunny, attended by kids and parents alike. Thanks to the generosity of local businesses, we had fantastic prizes for our raffle.” – Verona Banks, Pre-School Administrator
