Danielle’s Favourite Installations of all Time

Alongside the company celebrating it’s 20-year anniversary, Danielle, our Purchasing Officer is celebrating her 10-year anniversary. So, as you can imagine, choosing her favourite installations of all time was hard however, she came up with what I think you will all agree are great choices.

Roughlee Primary School, Lancashire

Danielle chose Roughlee Primary School in Lancashire as her favourite installation. Why? Well, as you can see, it looks great in the area it is installed and goes really well with the rural village surroundings.

Roughlee Primary School is situated in a small village called Roughlee in Nelson, and it caters for just 49 pupils from the ages of 4-11 years old. The village is very rural, and as such, the school is situated next to a picturesque, cobblestone bridge over the river. The Tarnhow Dome Freestanding Canopy (pictured above) was therefore the perfect choice for the school, as the beautiful, curved timber beams fit in perfectly with the natural ‘leafy’ surroundings.

Danielle is also our in-house planning expert and therefore worked closely with the school on this project as they required planning permission, submitting the planning documents along with the Flood Risk Assessment. Seeing the end result looking so great and with the school’s gratitude for the service and product provided, Danielle was left with a great deal of satisfaction for this project.

Here’s what the Headteacher had to say about the project: “The installation was excellent. Everything was completed by very skilled and considerate workmen on time. I am very impressed by both the quality of the product and the installation. I would certainly recommend and use Able Canopies again. Superb from start to finish.”

Naze Marine Holiday Park, Essex

Danielle’s second choice is another great one, as you can tell she (like many) is a big fan of our Tarnhow Timber Canopies, and I’m sure you can see why. In 2022, we supplied and installed a Tarnhow Dome Freestanding Timber Canopy at Parkdean Resort’s Naze Marine Holiday Park in Walton-on-the-Naze in Essex.

They required a canopy to extend their dining space into the outdoors, enabling them to cater for more patrons at once. The addition of their canopy enables dining to take place outside all year round, not just when the weather is pleasant, dramatically increasing their dining space (and turnover) throughout the whole holiday season.

Unfortunately, we don’t have photos of the canopy with the groundworks finished however, the holiday park has shared some fantastic photos of the canopy on their Facebook page, which you can see below:
