Canopies for Lockers

As a canopy and shelter provider, our primary focus is on providing shade and shelter for people, whether adults or children. However, we occasionally receive enquiries that are a little out of the ordinary to our everyday enquiries. Over the years, we have therefore had the pleasure of installing canopies for many unique and interesting applications.

For example, in the past we have covered dogs at an animal shelter, hydrogen fuelling stations, cars and motorbikes outside showrooms and industrial batteries.

More recently however, we installed two Welford Dome Freestanding Canopies at a school in South Yorkshire who needed to protect lockers from the weather.

The Hayfield School in Doncaster were in the process of expanding and the space where the lockers were originally situated indoors, was needed for other purposes such as additional classrooms and toilets.

They therefore came up with the idea of moving the lockers into the outdoors and keeping them and their users protected with a canopy. The lockers are made from plastic so the contents will not get damp unlike if they were traditional metal lockers, making it the perfect solution for the school.

In August 2024, we supplied and installed the two canopies, both measuring 16 metres x 6 metres each to cover all the lockers required. This enabled the school to use the indoor area for the new uses required, without having to build more rooms for the lockers. Opting for canopies were a much more cost-effective and time-saving solution that will last for many years to come with the 25-year life expectancy provided.
