Able Canopies achieve ISO 9001
Able Canopies are pleased to announce that after months of hard work, they have successfully achieved ISO 9001. Being ISO 9001 certified means Able Canopies customers, new and existing, can be assured by the quality of their products and services according to international, rigorous standards.
Applying 9 months ago to the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO), Able Canopies were thrilled to be told that they had passed their ISO 9001 assessment. ISO 9001 shows commitment to quality, customers and a willingness to work towards improving efficiency within the company. It also demonstrates the existence of an effective quality management system that has satisfied the rigours of an independent, external audit.
Being an ISO 9001 certified company means that they have the systems and procedures in place to deal with every eventuality, benefiting their customers, which is especially important working within schools.
The initial visit to Able Canopies with the ISO auditor went smoothly as they were impressed with the systems already in place. The company then set out to improve on the systems they had already for the actual audit, which took place on 6th December 2010.
Following their ISO 9001 accreditation, the company will soon also be audited for ISO 14001 and ISO 18001 which will compliment ISO 90001. ISO 14001 is an internationally recognised standard for the environmental management of businesses and ISO 18001 is an international health and safety management system.
Able Canopies Ltd. design, manufacture and install commercial grade canopies, shade sails, awnings and shelters across the UK. We specialise in servicing the education, leisure, healthcare and retail sectors and have extensive experience working with schools, councils, architects and contracting firms.
