Waterloo Road, BBC – Shade Sails

In August 2023, we supplied and installed three Able Shade Sails at Waterloo Road, BBC in Manchester, Greater Manchester.

Wall to Wall Media, part of Warner Bros. Television Studio UK, required shade sails for the set of Waterloo Road to enhance the authenticity of the school environment. The production team needed the installation completed before filming commenced in September.

After a site survey, we recommended an array of three shade sails: one sky-blue triangular sail and two yellow quadrilateral sails, supported by seven posts. Posts were installed in July to set properly, with the sails fitted and tensioned in August. These shade sails not only served as set pieces but also provided practical shelter for the cast and crew.
