King Edward VII Lower School – 2nd Welford Dome Freestanding Canopy

In February 2023, we supplied and installed a 12m x 6m Welford Dome Freestanding Canopy at King Edward VII Lower School in Sheffield, South Yorkshire.

In December 2022, we installed a Welford Dome Freestanding Canopy at King Edward VII Lower School. Pleased with the results, the school sought another canopy solution for a different area of their grounds to support year-round outdoor activities and ensure reliable weather protection. Their aim was to create an additional outdoor space where staff could hold lessons, enhancing the students’ learning experience in a comfortable and engaging environment.

Once again, we recommended the Welford Dome Freestanding Canopy due to its adaptability and functionality. The schools required planning permission for the installation of the canopy however, because we offer free canopy planning help and advice to all our customers who require it, we were able to process the application for them and take care of all the hard work involved in the planning process.

The canopy provides a versatile, weather-protected area, allowing students to enjoy the fresh air and participate in outdoor learning activities regardless of the season. It has further enhanced the school’s outdoor learning opportunities, reinforcing their dedication to providing an enriching educational environment.
