Balcombe C of E Primary School – Coniston Freestanding Canopy

In June 2024, we supplied and installed a 14.7m x 3.7m Coniston Freestanding Canopy that is attached to a 3.8m x 2.6m Coniston Freestanding Canopy at Balcombe C of E Primary School in Balcombe, West Sussex.

Balcombe C of E Primary School contacted us with the goal of creating a sheltered outdoor area at the front of the school. They wanted a space where students could play and learn outside, protected from the elements, and where staff could hold outdoor lessons, which are known to be highly beneficial for children.

We recommended installing a large Coniston Freestanding Canopy. This canopy is perfect for covering extensive areas, including the small, recessed section of the building. By extending the canopy over this section, it aligns the canopy with the building’s structure, and by adding another canopy, the entire space is seamlessly covered.

This solution allows the school to fully utilise the canopy’s potential, providing a weather-protected, sheltered space that enables comfortable outdoor access for students and staff in any season.
