Disability Access Canopies
Disabled access to public buildings such as schools, hospitals and care homes is considered important in all new builds and developments. Our Disabled Access Canopy provides high UV protection and can be powder coated to the colour of your choice to blend in with your settings.
The disability access canopy is constructed from a fully aluminium system which offers you ultimate strength and longevity with a life expectancy of up to 25 years. This canopy also offers high UV protection blocking in excess of 98% of the sun’s harmful UV rays.
The Disability Access Canopy also benefits from an integral guttering system which is included in the price. At an additional cost the framework can be finished to any standard or non standard RAL colour. Standard and non standard RAL colours.
High visibility yellow post pads are a popular addition to our Disabled Access Canopy as they provide excellent protection from the posts.
Features & Benefits:
- Full Aluminium System – The canopy is constructed from aluminium with heavy duty structural aluminium roof bars – for ultimate strength
- Stainless Steel Fixings – All of the fixings used in the construction are 316 marine grade stainless steel, ensuring total resistance to corrosion and longevity
- Integral Gutter System – An aluminium integrated guttering system with aluminium downpipes which saves time on installation and has a more sleek design which is also stronger than an external gutter system
- 35mm Structured Polycarbonate Panels – These are light in weight and up to 200 times stronger than glass and 10 times stronger than uPVC panels. These panels offer the best insulation properties available (1.4w/mk) (much better than sealed, triple glazed units). Available in clear and opal
- Self-extinguishing – The panels are classed as self-extinguishing and do not emit toxic gasses, unlike uPVC panels. They are tested to most European standards and to BS476 Part 7 and BS476 Part 6 with a Class 1 Fire Rating
- Strong Roof System – Roof strong enough to be walked upon as a means of escape and maintenance (with use of boards)
- Free Post Pads – Protect your pupils from “bumping” into the posts
- Streamlined Design – With clean fresh lines – a simplified design which is of a higher quality and has an eye catching and attractive appearance
- Over 98% UV Protection – During the manufacture of our polycarbonate panels, a layer of UV absorber is coextruded on both sides which forms a barrier giving high UV protection from the sun
- Powder Coated in White as Standard – At an additional cost the framework can be finished to any standard or non standard RAL colour
- Up to 6m Projection – providing large shaded areas if needed
- Unlimited Length – The canopy can be of any length to suit your needs
- Available Upgrades – There are many upgrades available that can be added to your canopy, please see a selection of the available upgrades below or click here
- Full 10 Year Guarantee and a 25 year Life Expectancy – Offering you complete peace of mind that your canopy is of a high quality and will last for many years to come
