Maes Ebbw School – Coniston Freestanding Canopy

In February 2024, we supplied and installed a 17m x 5m Coniston Freestanding Canopy at Maes Ebbw School in Newport, South Wales.

Newport Norse Ltd undertook a project at Maes Ebbw School with the goal of enhancing the playground area to encourage year-round outdoor activities for both students and staff. The school needed a solution that would allow for outdoor play and lessons, regardless of the weather. They required a shelter large enough to cover an expansive outdoor area, ensuring safe and comfortable use during various weather conditions.

To meet their needs, we installed a 17m x 5m Coniston Freestanding Canopy. This versatile canopy offers significant benefits in a school environment, including protection from rain and snow, high UV protection for shaded areas, and the added advantage of keeping the building’s interior cooler by shading windows and reducing heat buildup on sunny days.

The school was pleased with the quality of service and the outcome of the installation. The result is a functional, weatherproof outdoor space that Maes Ebbw School can now utilise throughout the year for lessons, playtime, and more.
