Little Clacton Pre-school enjoy story time in their new “home corner”
Little Clacton Pre-school have been enjoying the latest addition to their new building, situated on the grounds of Engaines Primary School. The pre-school had a new building constructed last summer and recently added to their development with the installation of a new canopy.
The all new canopy was supplied by the canopy experts, Able Canopies which gives the children an outdoor area where they can play and learn whilst keeping covered from the sun and rain.
Able Canopies managing director Mark Wood visits the pre-school regularly to collect his 2 year old son. “It is a pleasure to be in a position to be able to help to support the local pre-school that my son goes to, I am also looking forward to seeing my daughter also getting some use from it.”
The popular pre-school caters for 74 children each week and has been running for around 50 years. Pauline Green, the pre-schools manger has been working at Little Clacton Pre-school for 23 years “We needed to give the children a shaded area and also an area we could use in all weather conditions. We need to keep the children safe from the sun.” Pauline continues “We use the canopy as an outside classroom, including making it into a lovely home corner. We have used it for storytelling, snack time and game time.”
The canopy installed was the Loweswater which is constructed from a steel tubular frame and is fitted with a fully tensioned shade sail cloth which is versatile, practical and easy to maintain. The cloth provides high UV protection from the sun and is available in 5 standard colours. This is the newest addition to Able Canopies extensive and expanding range of canopies, shelters and accessories.
The installation of a canopy provides many benefits for schools and nurseries offering outdoor areas for the children to learn & play safely whilst enjoying the fresh air. Pauline explains “The canopy has made a big difference to how we use our outside area and also added an attractive space for our children to play safely out of the sun and they can be outside in all weather conditions. We had no shade or protection from the weather and the canopy has given us this. We are really pleased with the way the canopy was installed and the service we received from Able Canopies.”
This Free Standing Canopy was designed and manufactured by Able Canopies Ltd. and installed at Little Clacton Pre School in Essex.
